“Coffee Cantata”
J.S. Bach’s “Coffee Cantata” (1732–1735) is a charming miniature comic opera that tells the story of a strict father, Schlendrian, and his daughter, Liesgen, who cannot give up her love for coffee. The plot is full of humor, vitality, and exquisite music.
But it’s not just about the music! The evening’s highlight is a tasting journey during which you will have the opportunity to sample four different types of coffee. These exceptional coffees will allow you to experience subtle flavor nuances, discover new aroma notes, and deepen your appreciation for this beloved beverage. The event will also feature stories about coffee shared by one of Lithuania’s top baristas, Miglė Lukoševičiūtė.

During the performance, the artists not only present unforgettable gems from various operas, but also prepare a real pâté—served to the audience after the show, both young and old.
Fearlessly fusing classical music with culinary creativity, the young creators bring this bold idea to life not only through the provocative title but also in action on stage.

Opera soloist Jonas Sakalauskas becomes Winnie-the-Pooh himself, while conductor Vytautas Lukočius takes on the role of the charming Eeyore. These two friends will guide you through delightful stories, musical magic, and joyful adventures like you’ve never heard before.
